The main aim of the project was to support the creation of the new culture in rural communities promoting digital literacy and reducing resistance to the use of new technologies by encouraging users to add significant contribution to the emerging applications by involving them in meaningful activities, tailored to address the needs of different user groups.

Project aimed at selecting measures enabling an effective use of satellite communication techniques to provide e-learning and e-health services in sparsely populated areas in 11 countries, including Poland.

In Poland the Progress and Business Foundation as the National Coordinator created 10 pilot sites in DVB-RCS technology within years 2006-2009 among 81 created in all implementation project’s area (Cyprus, Estonia, France, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden).
